Meet Our Dental Assistants

Katie decided to pursue a career in dentistry seven years ago. In 2001, she graduated from the Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program at Lake-Sumter Community College. Katie has continued to seek out additional training with CEREC design, Invisalign and Biolase. The ability to develop long term relationships with patients was one of the key reasons why Katie chose dentistry. As has already been experienced, these relationships can last for years and years and adds so much to our own lives. Katie’s bubbly personality will make you feel welcome the minute you meet her. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, church and loves the outdoors. |

Meet Our Dental Hygienists
Hello, my name is Malinda Kohler. I live in Tavares, Florida with my significant other Nelson Board, his two wonderful daughters Emily and Sara, and our new addition to the family Daylan. We only have two dogs Sadie and Miles but if it were up to the girls we would have a big farm with horses, goats and cows and who knows what else. I was born in Key West, Florida, traveled most of the United States due to my father’s navy career and have lived in central Florida since the age of fifteen. Nelson and I have known each other for over 26 years. Our family absolutely loves boating, beach fun, and planning weekend trips to many of the beautiful towns we have here in sunny Florida. We absolutely love any and all outdoor adventures together. Any spare time that I may have to myself, I enjoy scrapbooking, sewing, decorating and minor home face lift projects.
The second most important facet in my life, next to my wonderful family, is my career. The past eight years working as a dental hygienist has allowed me the great privilege of working with many wonderful people while providing the utmost health care to my community. |

" I must say, as we age, our teeth unfortunately are one of the first things that show our age… I wanted my crooked laterals straight and even. I wanted perfection and a beautiful white smile because I love to smile and make others smile…to share a smile with someone is one of the best things I feel I can do, and if your smile is beautiful, you will want to show off your pearly whites, too. It will bring your confidence level up, and like me, feel wonderful about yourself. Go for it….truly the best money you have ever spent.
